  1. 1.0

    Tell us five things

Your diet, what you are eating for, how long you have on a weeknight, the cuisines you like, and the foods you never want to see. Under two minutes, once.

  2. 2.0

    Get one pick

One cooking video, chosen against those five answers. No feed, no search box, no grid of forty thumbnails. Not tonight? Tap Show another.

  3. 3.0

    Cook it

Tap Cook this and the video becomes a written recipe: ingredients, steps, timings. Read it on the counter instead of scrubbing a video with wet hands.

Real food, cooked by a real person, in front of a camera

Other dinner apps pick from their own recipe database. CookFast picks from the cooks you would have searched for anyway, then writes their video down for you. You get the dish someone actually made, and the creator keeps the credit and a link back to their channel.

Every recipe CookFast writes is a real one

Browse what has already been cooked and written up. Each one credits the creator with a link back to their channel.

Questions, answered straight

Do I have to find the video myself?

No. That is the whole point of CookFast. You answer five questions once, and it picks. If tonight’s pick is not for you, tap Show another and it moves on.

How does it know what I like?

From the five answers you give at the start: your diet, what you are eating for, your weeknight time, the cuisines you like, and the foods to keep away. Nothing else, and nothing you have not told it.

Where do the recipes come from?

From real cooking videos on YouTube. CookFast reads the video and writes the recipe down: ingredients, steps and timings. Every recipe credits the creator and links back to their channel.

What if I do not like the pick?

Tap Show another. You are never stuck with one answer, and a video you have already seen will not come back around.

What if the recipe gets something wrong?

Edit any of it: title, ingredients, steps, tags. Where CookFast is less confident about a video, the recipe carries a small note so you know to check it against the original.

What if the video cannot be turned into a recipe?

CookFast only suggests videos it has already checked it can convert, so this should not happen. If a "Cook this" ever fails, tap Show another and the pick is dropped from rotation.

Is it free?

Free to start, and no card to try it. A paid plan is coming later. Whatever changes, you will hear about it before it happens.

How long are the videos?

Picks run roughly four to twenty minutes. Long enough for a cook to actually explain the dish, short enough to be a weeknight. Very short clips rarely say enough to write a recipe from.

Do I need an account to browse Community recipes?

No. Community is public: anyone can browse, search and filter recipes without signing in. You only need an account to get your own picks and save recipes.

Is my library private?

Your saved recipes are yours: only you can see, edit or delete them. By default they are also shared anonymously to help power Community for other people, and you can turn that off in Settings or during onboarding.

Can I delete my account and my data?

Yes, with an in-app delete button. Your account and personal recipe library are deleted within 30 days. Recipes you shared to Community stay, but anonymously; they were never linked to your identity.

Only the part you love. Cooking.
